AUS vs SA – ICC World Test Championship 2025-27: The ICC World Test Championship (WTC) 2025-27 will be the fourth edition of this prestigious Test cricket tournament. The competition will be played in the traditional Test format, starting in June 2025 and concluding with the grand final at Lord’s Cricket Ground in June 2027.
Tournament Format
- The league stage will feature 27 series and 71 matches.
- The top two teams on the points table will qualify for the final.
- Each team will play six Test series – three at home and three away.
- Each series will consist of 2 to 5 Test matches.
Points System
The points system remains the same as in the previous WTC edition:
- Win – 12 points
- Tie – 6 points
- Draw – 4 points
- Loss – 0 points
- Over-rate penalty – 1 point deducted for each over not bowled on time
Teams will be ranked based on their percentage of points won rather than total points.
